Uncle Alan's Century
In 1912, Uncle Alan played a match in Rangoon, where he made 137, playing for Burma, against the (Ceylonese) 'Europeans' (the scorecard is online here). Burma won by an innings and 29 runs. In a previous drawn match in the series, he made 79 and 43. After the war, he also played 2 first class cricket matches in the 1918-19 season, averaging 16 and taking a catch (the full list of his scorecards is here). Two photos of Uncle Alan are shown below (the second one is from 1963 the year before he died) , and beneath those are some of the trophies he won.
